The location of your accommodation is vital to any cycling trip. Choosing the correct location can make the world of difference. An incorrect location selection can make your cycling holiday a logistical nightmare.

Itinerary Build

Weather you are interested in a leisure trip or the most challenging climbs, we will develop an itinerary custom built to your needs.

We also provide GPX files for each day of riding. These are loaded on your bike computer or mobile phone to assist with your riding course for the riding days.

Travel Quote

We supply you with a no obligation quote for your flights, vehicle hire, accommodation, and other logistics.

Here are some popular and iconic cycling routes in the Dolomites that cater to leisure riders while still offering breathtaking views:

1. Sella Ronda Loop

  • Distance: ~53 km (33 miles)
  • Difficulty: Moderate
  • Highlights: This is one of the most famous routes in the Dolomites, taking you around the Sella Massif. The loop passes through four stunning mountain passes: Passo Sella, Passo Gardena, Passo Campolongo, and Passo Pordoi. The route can be tackled clockwise or counterclockwise and offers magnificent views of jagged peaks and lush valleys.

2. Cortina d’Ampezzo to Tre Cime di Lavaredo

  • Distance: ~20 km (12 miles) one way
  • Difficulty: Moderate to challenging (due to the climb near the end)
  • Highlights: Start in the charming town of Cortina and ride toward the iconic Tre Cime di Lavaredo. The final ascent is steep but offers a rewarding view of the three peaks, one of the Dolomites' most recognizable landmarks.

3. Val Gardena Valley Ride

  • Distance: ~35 km (22 miles)
  • Difficulty: Easy to moderate
  • Highlights: A scenic route through Val Gardena, surrounded by towering peaks and traditional alpine villages like Ortisei and Selva. Ideal for leisurely cycling with plenty of stops to soak in the views.

4. Passo delle Erbe (Würzjoch Pass)

  • Distance: ~29 km (18 miles) from San Lorenzo di Sebato
  • Difficulty: Moderate
  • Highlights: A quieter and less trafficked pass offering stunning views of the Dolomites, including the majestic Sass de Putia. The route is gentle at first, with a steady climb toward the pass.

5. The Great Dolomites Road (Strada delle Dolomiti)

  • Distance: ~110 km (68 miles) from Bolzano to Cortina d’Ampezzo
  • Difficulty: Moderate to challenging
  • Highlights: A classic route that takes in several iconic passes, including Passo Falzarego and Passo Pordoi. While the full route is lengthy, sections can be tackled for a more leisurely experience.

6. Val di Fassa Cycle Path

  • Distance: ~48 km (30 miles) one way
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Highlights: A mostly flat and family-friendly cycle path connecting the villages of Val di Fassa and Val di Fiemme. Ride alongside rivers, forests, and meadows with the Dolomites as a dramatic backdrop.

7. Passo Giau

  • Distance: ~19 km (12 miles) from Selva di Cadore
  • Difficulty: Moderate to challenging
  • Highlights: Known for its hairpin bends and panoramic views, Passo Giau is a short but intense ride that rewards cyclists with breathtaking scenery at the summit.

8. Alta Badia and Pralongià Plateau

  • Distance: ~30 km (18 miles)
  • Difficulty: Easy to moderate
  • Highlights: Ride through the Alta Badia region, with gentle climbs and routes leading to the Pralongià Plateau. Enjoy stunning views of the Dolomites' peaks and the rolling meadows below.

9. Val Pusteria Cycle Path

  • Distance: ~105 km (65 miles)
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Highlights: This long but flat path runs along the Puster Valley, connecting Bressanone to Lienz in Austria. You can choose shorter segments for a leisurely ride through picturesque alpine scenery.

10. Arabba to Marmolada (Fedaia Pass)

  • Distance: ~14 km (8.7 miles) one way
  • Difficulty: Moderate
  • Highlights: A scenic ride to the base of the Marmolada Glacier, the highest peak in the Dolomites. The route features a steady climb and offers awe-inspiring views of the glacier and surrounding peaks.
